Among the many Venues in Philadelphia, The Fire has consistently been one of our favorites. The Fire (Located at 412 W Girard Ave) has hosted some incredible talent including some of our favorite bands and even bands we've covered, such as Moma, Twin Sister, Summer Cicada, and Elephant Jake! The Fire has a solid history of being one of the best and most diverse Venues in Philadelphia, even starting the career of John Legend at one of the venues famous Monday Open Mics. The venue has even hosted the likes of Maroon 5 and My Chemical Romance. The Fire's Open Mic Monday has been a gateway to success since 1999 (close to it's 20th anniversary!). The Fire is the home to Philly Greatness and it's history shows and will continue to show especially with this Wednesday's (11/29) fantastic line up. This Wednesday The Fire will be hosting some outstanding performers, Science Book, You Bred Raptors?, and Elison Jackson, this is a lineup worth checking out! One of their best and biggest line ups not only of the year but of all time! Tomorrow, At The Fire between 8-11:30pm, great memories will be made! Science Book throws back to Post-Darkwave with a strong taste of poppy synth and strong lifting vocals. Science Book is everything a synth-wave listener loves with the mixed in flavors of dance-pop / dance-rock with strong grooves and encouraging beats. You Bred Raptors? on the other hand is an (at times) more laid back instrumental project that dances around progressive-jazz styles while presenting itself with an orchestral sounds and a surprisingly welcoming funk tone. Having just come off from playing with the legendary Yoko Ono, You Bred Raptors? is phenomenal in ever sense of the word, absolutely captivating and a must see performance! Last but certainly not least, Elison Jackson's own Sam Perduta will be performing a solo set to start off the night. If you're unfamiliar, Elison Jackson is a nostalgic emotion fest of Blues-Rock spliced with ambient folk. Elison Jackson is a journey through classic rock stylings with garage-folk influence. Loud and Powerful with hints of DIY spread about, emotional, powerful, and a pleasure to listen to! It's not a surprise that The Fire has managed to book such an outstanding show. A night of Sweet Synth, Garage-Folk, and Orchestral-Funk super stars, this is NOT an event to miss and will surely be a night every attendee remembers. Music starts at 8 and the fun doesn't end till 11:30! Even if you've only got a minute you owe it to yourself to stop on by to Philly's hottest Venue!
