Concordia Pl, a debut from Well Room

Philly's own Indie-Grunge group Well Room released their debut record "Concordia Pl" and boy is it quite the listen. Concordia Pl presents everything you could want in a debut and even a little bit more. From the opening riff of "Yellowjacket" to the mellow feel sad closing of "Lullaby", Concordia Pl is an incredible diverse experience. Well Room has a very specific trait to all their songs, that trait being the ability to capture every era and minor trait of the grunge genre, from it's roots right up to it's current indie texturing. Tonally, the entire record stands out. "Yellowjacket" is an incredible introduction to the unique flavor the band provides. "Oh Me" is another great track that really shows the bands talent for composition and respect for tone. The pop-ish vocals and smooth drumming do more than compliment the record, they both provide a nostalgic-like essence over each track. Overall, no track seems to stand out over another, which isn't a problem when every track is so well thought out and honestly interesting. Concordia Pl is a trip, an awesome trip. The best way I could describe the entire record is Well Room provided listeners with a nice meal, a meal with consistent flavor and fresh herbs and spices. If you want to check out the record for yourself, and we suggest you do, Head over to the Well Room bandcamp page and have a listen and maybe buy yourself a digital copy of Concordia Pl.
