Confused and Alone is a very special band. They're one of those bands that comes along that reminds you of everything you love about other bands. In this case, "In the Crevice of a Waffle" brings back vivid memories of my first times listening to bands like The Front Bottoms, Modern Baseball, and Marietta.
With such a unique and nostalgic sound, it's nearly impossible to NOT love Confused and Alone. They deliver such a wide range of tones and sounds from various instruments and incredibly creative minds behind the project. There's so much to be said about the expression these young talents give us, and it just brings us back to how important it is to keep younger musicians involved with DIY and realizing and accepting that our future is in incredibly good hands with artist such as Confused and Alone.
In The Crevice of a Waffle just shows what can be accomplished when like minded talents with diverse taste come together to make art. It's an absolute MUST listen to for anyone who thinks DIY Punk is dead or dying. It's influential, smart, and a must have for any DIY party playlist.
