Let's get started by saying, we specifically saved this review to be our last of the year for a good reason. It's a hard hitting emotional masterpiece that deserves to wrap up 2016. This is a record I I found myself listening to quite often during my week, on the train, bus, while playing Overwatch or cooking. It's such a lasting record, every track sticks to you like a strong perfume.

Before we go into serious details, I want to talk about something that I feel made this record come on so powerful to me. I grew up listening to a lot of Video Game soundtracks, mainly those from the first three Silent Hill games. I grew up listening to soundtracks that honed my ability to put music to emotion or to scene or to atmosphere. You're probably wondering where I'm going with this, so let me tell you. "We're made of Wood &Fire" made me feel like I was listening to one of those old soudntracks, and as eerie as it was it made the entire record so much more memorable for me. Every track feels so powerful, so dark and atmospheric regardless of how bright and clear the instruments themselves sound. Which brings me to just how aggressively but calm the tones of the record are. Everything about everything in this record is just phenomenal. It's incredibly hard to put into words how powerful and special "We're made of Wood &FIre" truly is. But please, take our word for it, and go listen to it from start to finish, maybe a few times in a row like we did, and then maybe a few times a week like we do.

2016 was a pretty dark and scary year, and we are Polaris are happy we got to close out the year with a review of a record that brings so much hope from it's eerie and depressing anthems."We're made of Wood &Fire" is a MUST listen of 2016. We hope it brings you as pleasure as it bought us. Enjoy the rest of the year, everyone.
