Indie Punk isn't Dying any time soon. An introduction to Elephant Jake's "We're Mov

Every once in a while an up and coming band releases a record that has potential to inspire and define a scene, well boy am I happy to say I've come upon just that record. "We're Movies" from NY's Indie Punk group, Elephant Jake, sets the bar and passes all expectations as the bands first release. The Seven track record captures and explores a wide range of classic Indie Punk tones and themes, as well as being an honest fresh take on a scene that's become stale. What makes "We're Movies" stand out so much is how every tracks has it's own personality, on top of keeping spirit alive. Every track captures the nostalgia of listening to bands like Dads, Glocca Morra, and Modern Baseball all over again. "We're Movies" is anything but repetitive. As mentioned before, each track has it's own personality and it's own story with it's own characters. It's incredibly easy to put the record on, shove in some earbuds, and just get lost in the melodic strumming and raw vocals. From sappy acoustic tracks to ripping guitar solos, "We're Movies" has it all without feeling over saturated or forced. I would without a single doubt recommend checking out "We're Movies" and giving as much love and support to Elephant Jake as possible. I truly believe this band has the potential to capture the scene and make big waves. You can check out "We're Movies" on their bandcamp, as well as find their twitter, Facebook, and Tour dates.
