A breakdown of Inner Temple's, "Captivity"

First things first, let me say that this is one of my favorite records of the year. It captures everything I love about old school hardcore/post rock while not showing the cliche aged stereotypes of the genre. Captivity captures everything that made bands like Tool and Debtor stand out to me, the aggressive yet sooth vocals, the restlessly passionate guitar tones, and the emotional lyrics, it's all there. "Captivity" by Inner Temple stands out for a lot of reasons, It's without a doubt something people years later from now will pick up and say "I wish music could still be like this" while still having an impact on listeners of today. Each song manages to stand apart while still keeping the same overall sound, not sacrificing their uniqueness or diversity of the overall record. Each track manages to pound hard, get it's message across, and provide some real solid two step the whole time. I was really blown away by the quality of "Captivity". I can honestly say that "Captivity" is something I'll be listening to quite often. I can't escape it, and neither will you. I highly recommend checking out Inner Temple over on Facebook and Bandcamp, these folks deserve so much attention and spotlight so feel free to give it to them!
