(i still) LIVE at my Parents' House by Fuzzy Slippers

Fast and Frantic Folk Punk, also known as the best kind of Folk Punk, is really something that never gets old and never really changes. However, Philadelphia Folk-Punk group Fuzzy Slippers managed to reignite the Folk-Punk flame inside us. (i still) LIVE at my Parents' House is one of the most entertaining and exciting releases we've listened to in quite a long time. It's a youthful yet nostalgic take on the Folk-Punk themes and aesthetic while being as DIY and Anti-Punk as possible. It's an unironic roller coaster of emotions with highs and lows and ups and downs that never let go for the entire ride. From its twangy, full, and harsh earthy strumming to the full frontal yelling, it's everything you could want from a Folk-Punk record with a lot more flavor than what we'd usually get thanks to the apparent live setting and passionate energy the band gives. This is, without a doubt, our favorite Folk Punk release of the year and probably in the past few years and we honestly we think it should be yours too. Give it a listen or two, we've been binge listening for a few days now and trust us it really just keeps growing and growing as a phenomenally mature experience in both songwriting and counter-culture. Check out Fuzzy Slippers and (i still) LIVE at my Parents' House on their bandcamp and facebook at the cool links down below, and if you like what we here at Polaris DIY do give us a peep on Facebook too!
